BY PAMELA JO BOWMAN – MESA ARIZONA- Well, this week was enlightening in so many ways and it has just begun! Yesterday I read a paper inviting parents to an evening to educate them about current drugs, drug use and how to pay attention to subtle behavior changes. I grew up in the 6o’s. I thought I was keeping up on all of the latest trends, but I was clueless about what they were talking about! When did that happen?

Last night my son helped me hook into facebook. It is the best way to keep up with my kids and what they are doing. Today I received a notice that they all have accepted me as their friend and even their friends are inviting me to be their friend. I can forsee one pretty big problem. I’m the MOM! I do not want there to be any confusion on this issue. I’m the mom. Now that that is clear, let’s play!

Keeping up. Paying attention. Staying informed. Enlightening is not a big enough word for this world. Slow down…you move too fast….you got to make the morning last… I need a nap!
